The brand’s Creative Director is Dezirra. She grew up in an artistic family (her mother a singer and her father a painter) and drew inspiration from her great-grandmother, who was a seamstress for the Bulgarian Royal Family. The brand name Merlenne comes from a character in a story her mother used to tell her.
